The number of lessons you’ll need really depends on your experience and how much you’re able to practice outside of your sessions. If you’re starting from scratch, most new drivers usually take around 9-12 lessons when they also have someone to practice with in between. Without that extra practice, you may need a bit more time to build your confidence and skills. If you already have driving experience from another country and are simply adjusting to Canadian roads, we can often help you get road-test ready in about five lessons. Keep in mind that driving is a skill that develops over time—one or two lessons on their own won’t make you fully test-ready unless you’re also practicing regularly. The more consistent you are, the faster you’ll improve and the more confident you’ll feel on test day.
